On 13th June, in Skiathos, officers from the island’s Police Department, in collaboration with the Italian State Police—investigators from the Central Operations Service and the Mobile Squad of Rome—and with the assistance of personnel from the SCIP Security Expert’s Office in Greece, located and apprehended an American citizen. He is seriously suspected of the murder of a newborn baby and the concealment of the mother’s body, whose lifeless remains were found in Rome on 7th June within Villa Pamphili park.
Following identification procedures, the Greek police executed the European arrest warrant against the suspect, which was issued by the Italian judicial authority further to investigations coordinated by the Public Prosecutor’s Office in Rome.
